Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park and Walk through the canopy
At 7 am, our company’s safari guide will arrive at your hotel in Kigali to greet you and prepare you for your safari. Following a summary of the day ahead, you will travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park, stopping for lunch. A swing bridge will allow you to see vistas of the rainforest and participate in a canopy walk. Once the canopy walk is over, you’ll head to your lodge—dinner and accommodation at Nyungwe Nziza Eco Lodge for the night.

Day 2: Chimpanzees tracking day – Nyungwe National Park Forest
After breakfast, get a briefing and head into the forest to look for the lively and playful chimpanzees in Nyungwe National Park Forest. The easiest to see are the chimpanzees, who hop from tree to tree while laughing and chatting. Typically, chimpanzee tracking takes three hours. After lunch, you’ll head back to the resort to unwind for the day, as before, for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park by road
You are going to travel to Volcanoes National Park after breakfast.
After lunch, travel to Musanze, the town closest to Rwanda’s northern province’s Volcanoes National Park, for your night and dinner.

Day 4: Primates and Golden Monkey Tracking
Leave the resort for a golden monkey tracking excursion after an early breakfast. The tracking of golden monkeys is conducted in the same manner as the gorilla expedition. After that, make your way back to the resort and unwind there. Dinner and lodging at Gorilla Lodge Da Vinci
Day 5: Volcanoes National Park, Gorilla Trekking
After a leisurely early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters, where you will be briefed by park ranger guides at 7:00 am. Bring your packed lunch and bottled water. Following your briefing, you will go on your gorilla trekking adventure with ranger guides searching for the mountain gorillas. Depending on the gorillas ‘ movements, this could take two to eight hours.
But the guides will try to locate them from their last known location from the day before! After spending an hour with these giants, you’ll return to your resort to unwind and rest. You can participate in an optional cultural trip to Ruhengeri village in the evening to get a sense of living in Rwanda.

Day 6: Transfer from Gorilla Lodge Da Vinci to Kigali International Airport to catch a flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
After breakfast, you will be driven from your lodge to Kigali airport to connect flight to Tanzania; consider booking your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport as it is the nearest airport to Arusha city, which is the gateway of your following safari destinations; remember that booking a flight to Dar es Salaam will attract other unnecessary costs as you will need to hop another short flight to Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport because the driving distance between Arusha and Dar es Salaam is 8 to 10 hours on public buses. There are no other reliable transports to get you around.
After arriving at Kilimanjaro, you will be greeted by our representative, who will drive you to your hotel for a night’s stay and relaxation.

Day 7: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Following breakfast, you will begin your trip to Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, where you may start animal-viewing adventures. Various bird species, especially around the Tarangire National Park, can also be seen. During your game drive, you will see multiple wildlife species feeding and wandering in the national park, including buffalos, wildebeests, elands, lions, giraffes, antelopes, lions, and impalas. Your guide will bring you back to your lodge for supper as you take in the surroundings and the sunset.

Day 8: Game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a wildlife drive to the conservation, where you will descend around 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater. On the Ngorongoro crater surface, you will be on watch for a variety of species of animals, notably kudu, zebras, impalas, gazelles, hippos, antelopes, lions, buffalos, rhinos, cheetahs, and elephants. Additionally, watch for sites like Lake Magadi in the crater, where you may observe several bird species and flamingos along the lake’s edge.
After having your bush meal, embark on a walking safari around the crater rim in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Accompanied by a ranger guide, this adventure lets you get up close and personal with nature and wildlife, including antelopes and zebras.

Day 9: Transfer game drive to Serengeti National Park
You will prepare for your trip to the Serengeti National Park at your lodge with an early breakfast. You will witness various animal species on your game drive across the broad grassland plains en route to the Central Serengeti. Lunch will be served along the way to Serengeti.
On your game drive in the national park, you will take in the stunning surroundings, including kopjes, where lions may be spotted awaiting their prey. While your game drives, you will also witness animal species, including impalas, giraffes, hyenas, buffalo, giraffes, wildebeests, antelopes, and elephants.

Day 10 & 11: Full-day game drive in Northern Serengeti National Park
It is worth spending two nights in the Northern Serengeti! To witness a wildebeest crossing, you must spend at least two nights in the Serengeti-Mara habitat.

Day 14: Half-day game drives in Maasai Mara and drive to Nairobi
