1 Day Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda: On this day, you will be taken to Volcanoes National Park for your day trip, searching for gorillas. This trip is curated for people with limited time but who are already in Rwanda; however, it is possible to fly in from Kenya, Uganda, or Tanzania and transfer near Volcanoes for your stay following the next-day adventure.
The gorilla trekking tour starts early in the morning and ends in the evening. Our safari guide will pick you up early, around 5:30 am, and drive you to Volcanoes National Park, ready for your experience. The driving time is two hours from the city of Kigali.
Usually, before the trekking begins, a park warden will brief you regarding the upcoming trekking; if you’ve any questions, this is the right time to jump in and ask.
Depending on the location of the gorilla families, each group of trekkers will be allocated a specific gorilla family to track; each group of trekkers will consist of only eight members. This offers the trekkers ample time to experience the gorilla tour effectively and protects them from transmitting harmful pathogens to the gorillas.
Gorilla tracking can take up to 6 hours. Your East Africa Safari Guides guide will professionally instruct you on what to do during the expedition to ensure a memorable gorilla safari experience.
After a day trip in Volcanoes, your safari guide will drive you back to your hotel or airport to connect your international flight home.
