4 Day Gorilla trekking in Rwanda : During this Rwanda safari tour, you will have a chance to experience the gorilla tracking two times. The purpose is to see two different gorilla families. You will also visit Dian Fossey tombs to learn about incredible work done by American zoologists from 1966 to 1985, cultural tours, and golden monkeys trekking tours.
Day 1. Arrival in Kigali – Rwanda
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, your guide from our East Africa Safari company will transfer you to the hotel in Volcanoes National Park for a night’s stay; dinner will be served in your hotel.
Day 2. Gorilla trekking tour
Day 2 is our first Gorilla trekking day: You will go to Volcanoes National Park for your tour today after enjoying a leisurely breakfast. The park warden will brief you on what to do and other pertinent details.
Depending on where they spent the previous night, gorilla trekking can take up to six hours to reach their location. On other days, it might take as little as three.
Day 3. Other gorilla trekking tours
After breakfast, you will return to the Volcanoes to track the Gorilla. After a whole day of your activity, your guide will transfer you back to the hotel for evening relaxation and dinner.
Day 4. Golden Monkey tracking & Dian Fossey Tombs tour
Today is your last day with us; after the morning meals, head out to track the golden Monkeys in the rainy forest of Volcanoes National Park. After that, continue with a Dian Fossey trekking tour and visit her institute, Karisoke Research Center, where you will see work she did 19 years in Rwanda for studying the behavior of Gorilla before her murder in 1985. After this fabulous tour, your guide will transfer you to the airport for your international flight or drop you at your preferred area around Kigali city.
