Day by Day Safari Itinerary
Day 01: Pick up from the airport, then transfer to the hotel
Start your journey from anywhere worldwide and touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport. After greeting you, our professional tour guide will cheer you up and drive you to your hotel. You can also discuss details in your safari itinerary or anything else you wish to do. Your hotel, Masailand Safari Lodge, is situated on the slopes of Mount Meru, and it will take you just 50 minutes to arrive there.

Day 02: Full-day game drive at Tarangire National Park
Wake up after a night of sweet dreams in your lodge, and have a buffet breakfast before you drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is arguably a glamorous wildlife destination, enriched with abundant wildlife, birds, and ancient baobab trees. The number of wild animals and bird species is staggering, as this park is home to over 2000 large animals and over 550 bird species. Ancient baobab trees are a unique feature of this park since some are up to 300 hundred years old.

Day 3-4: Two days for exploring Serengeti National Park
On this day, you will start your journey early in the morning, have a relaxed breakfast, and drive from Karatu to Serengeti National Park. Depending on the travel time and personal interests, you can taste the Great Migration or view the Big Five. The northern Serengeti is home to the spectacular Mara River crossing. You will spend your night at North Baobab Serengeti Camp.
The second day in Serengeti can be spent in Central Serengeti, where you can aim to see all the Big Five. You will also spot the Big Cats in the rock outcrops of central Serengeti. Your night will be excellent at Central Baobab Serengeti Camp.

Day 5: Descending into “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” the iconic Ngorongoro Crater
You will have a buffet breakfast at your camp before you drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater. You will then have a full-day game drive inside this beautiful crater. Encounter various wild animals, birds, and spectacular landscapes. You may also have the chance to view the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and black rhino). Explore other beautiful features of this largest intact caldera, including Lake Magadi. You can view some fantastic sunset views from the crater rim. These are just a few experiences you can enjoy while in the crater.

Day 6: Transfer from Farm of Dreams Lodge to the airport, then to Zanzibar
On this day, you will drive from Country Lodge to the airport. Your ride to the airport will be filled with exceptional views of nature, plantations, hills, and villages. Upon arriving at the airport, you will be transferred to Zanzibar on a scheduled flight and touched down at Abeid Karume International Airport. After arriving in Zanzibar, you will spend your first night at Amaan Beach Bungalows.

Day 7: Having a fun beach experience at Amaan Beach Bungalows
You will commence your relaxed beach safari with a day of pure relaxation and fun at Amaan Beach Bungalows. With its beautiful coastal location, you will have enough time to relax on the beach and dip in the azure waters while waiting for delicious local cuisine prepared by highly experienced chefs. You will then return to the same resort for another night on this beach. This day is a perfect blend of leisure and seaside enjoyment.

Day 8-10: Final days of leisure at Zanzibar
You will have a morning wake-up call at Amaan Beach Bungalows, followed by a local Tanzanian breakfast, including spiced tea (one of Zanzibar’s favorites). After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and immediately be transferred to the Aluna Paje Hotel.
You will then start your three leisure days in Zanzibar with a spice tour exploration. A guided tour of spice farms introduces guests to Zanzibar’s aromatic treasures. This is also a chance to meet and socialize with Zanzibar’s indigenous people. In the evening, return to the luxurious Aluna Paje Hotel, nestled in tranquility, for a serene and comfortable night.
The remaining days will allow you to fully embrace the island’s paradise. Whether you choose to relax at the resort’s exclusive amenities, try a sailing adventure on Zanzibar’s traditional dhows, or explore the unique flora and fauna of Jozani Forest, it is all up to you to choose. During the three days of leisure at Zanzibar, Aluna Paje Hotel offers a perfect base at night, with several activities.

Day 11: Depart from Zanzibar back home
Your last day of the safari will begin with a tasty breakfast at the resort. This breakfast will be uniquely prepared, allowing you to savor your last moments in Zanzibar and Tanzania. After breakfast, you will have optional leisure time (depending on your departure flight schedule). This is a chance to revisit your favorite spots or enjoy the resort’s amenities while waiting for your flight. Setting off to the airport will then mean the end of your program.
